THE COMPANY
With over 10 years of experience in precision mechanical design, fabrication and motion control experience and expertise developed at IIT Bombay, FlexMotion offers diverse custom solutions with contemporary motion platforms for precision measurement, scanning, high precision material handling, micro machining and micro 3D printing areas. Our unique design ensures that our motion platforms are able to achieve high accuracy (upto 50nm) with low power requirements, unparalleled durability, with a robust construction with minimal maintenance requirements.

Our Team

Prasanna Gandhi
CO-FOUNDER & Advisor
Prasanna leads the R&D and business development function of the company. He is responsible for overall strategy, early stage investigations leading up to technology, product development, customer & investor relationship and team building.
After earning a MTech from IIT Bombay in 1996, Prasanna got his PhD from the Rice University, Texas in 2001. Subsequently, he joined the faculty of IIT Bombay where he continues to serve. He is a recipient of the Prof J R Issac fellowship in Suman Mashruwala Advanced Micro-engineering Laboratory (instituted by Raj Mashruwala) in 2007 and the FIE Foundation Award 2019 for developing a novel micromilling technology for Strategi Automation at IMTEX 2019.
Prasanna is passionate about fostering developmental research and market realization of precision motion products, thereby creating an ecosystem in India for unique high quality solutions globally with benchmarked international standards for industrial and medical applications.

Ratnesh heads the manufacturing and supply chain development. He is responsible for delivery & manufacturing quality, strategic sourcing & vendor development for the company.
Ratnesh obtained his BE from University of Mumbai in 2012 after which he worked at a sales and manufacturing firm before joining IIT Bombay towards realizing an MSL 3D Printing System and Micromilling System using compliant mechanisms and worked on its mechatronic integration for over 10 years.
A technologist to the core, he has a knack for developing smart mechatronic devices for solving everyday problems and enjoys developing tightly integrated to-the-point technology solutions.
